DoD SKILLS BRIDGE

The DoD SkillBridge program in accordance with DoD 1322.29 is an opportunity for service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences.   Those service members who desire to request for an internship will need to coordinate with a Howell County Sheriff's Office authorized recruiter and their installation career skills program representative for packet requirements and processing.  For those service members who are Military Peace Officers and seeking a Missouri Peace Officer License without attending a Missouri Basic Peace Officer Academy, please see the Missouri Department of Public Safety Veteran Peace Officer Application & Handbook for further details.  All non-commissioned positions within the Howell County Sheriff's Office do not require a Peace Officer license pursuant to the Revised Statutes of Missouri §590.020.
