CHIEF SUPERVISOR RANK

The rank of Chief Supervisor signifies a NC-10 grade supervisor position.  This position under operational direction: plans, directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates highly sensitive activities and operations of an assigned Staff Office and/or Division within the Sheriff’s Office; coordinates assigned activities with other Staff Offices and/or Divisions and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to higher ranks as assigned.  Furthermore, this position is cross-functional as appropriate throughout the Sheriff's Office.  This position is authorized to be assigned additional duties as required and as appropriate to enhance the capabilities of the Sheriff's Office.
