APPLICATION FOR CCW INSTRUCTOR

Any firearms safety instructor qualified under the RevisedStatutes of Missouri, Section §571.111.1 may submit a copy of a training instructor certificate, course outline bearing the notarized signature of the instructor, and a recent photograph of the instructor to the sheriff of the county in which the instructor resides. The sheriff shall review the training instructor certificate along with the course outline and verify the firearms safety instructor is qualified and the course meets the requirements provided under this section. STANDARDIZED QUALIFICATION FORM - Law Abiding Citizens

The qualification form below is to assist instructors with a standardized format in providing detailed records upon request if they do not already have a qualification form meeting the prescribed criteria. Please see LESP 16A Form for Law Enforcement qualification.

The concealed carry handgun qualification course was designed for the shooter to conduct a live fire exercise consisting of a minimum of 20 rounds to gain familiarity prior to the live fire test which consists of 20 rounds not under a time standard.


STANDARDIZED CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION - Law Abiding Citizens

The certificate of completion below is to assist instructors with a standardized format in providing detailed records upon request if they do not already have a certificate meeting the prescribed criteria.

The standardized certificate of completion is issued to all students who have successfully negotiated an approved course in accordance with the requirements set forth in the Revised Statutes of Missouri, Section §571.101.1.

The certificate of completion will possess the name of the student who completed the course and identify the course to be at a minimum, an 8-hour handgun safety and training class. The class complied fully with the approved lesson plan and the Revised Statutes of Missouri, Chapter §571, Weapons Offenses.

Furthermore, It will also identify that the certified instructor affirms he or she is a current certified firearms safety instructor as defined in the Revised Statutes of Missouri, Section §571.111.


STANDARDIZED CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION - Retired Law Enforcement Officer

The certificate of completion below is to assist instructors with a standardized format in providing detailed records upon request if they do not already have a certificate meeting the prescribed criteria.

The standardized certificate of completion is issued to all students who have successfully negotiated an approved course in accordance with the requirements set forth by the Director of the Department of Public Safety.

The certificate of completion will possess the name of the student who completed the course and identify the course to be at a minimum, a 2-hour Firearms Training Program for Retired Peace Officers. The class complied fully with the approved lesson plan and the Revised Statutes of Missouri, Chapter §650.

Furthermore, it identifies that the instructor affirms he or she has a valid license by the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Program as a firearms instructor in all 1600 basic training curricula codes.
