BOOKING PROCESS

Upon arrival to the “Sally Port”, which is a controlled vehicle entrance into the Adult Detention Center (ADC), inmates will be escorted through an Entrance Control Point (ECP).  The arresting officer and inmate will then be greeted by the Jailer for the booking process.  During the booking process, the inmate will again be advised of the charge(s) against him or her and the amount of their bond, if a bond has been set.  In the event no bond has been set, the inmate will further be processed.

All personal property is collected by Jailer and inventoried for safekeeping. The inmate will be issued all necessary Sheriff’s Office clothing and hygiene items for their stay as appropriate.  Additional items are available for purchase through the Sheriff’s Office limited commissary.  During the booking process, inmates are assessed by the Jailer to identify any medical and/or mental health concerns.

The Jailer will then obtain necessary booking photographs and fingerprints for the purposes of identification.  Prior to the inmate being escorted to their holding cell, they will be provided access to a telephone station along with a list of numbers for lawyers and bail bonds businesses.  Upon completion of the telephone call, inmates will be instructed to change into the issued Sheriff’s Office clothing and finally escorted to their cell.
