CITATION:  Sergeant Paul M. Bradshaw of the Howell County Sheriff's Office meritoriously distinguished himself through selfless conduct in his performance of service and protection for the County of Howell and the State of Missouri.  On October 20, 2020 Sergeant Bradshaw was attempting to affect an arrest on a suspect with an outstanding warrant located at 1434 Sixth Street, West Plains, Missouri at which time a physical altercation ensued.  During this altercation to gain compliance, Sergeant Bradshaw received a significant broken arm injury.  Upon receiving the injury, Sergeant Bradshaw radioed for assistance while issuing verbal compliance commands to the suspect who was partially handcuffed.  Assistance soon after arrived on scene and aided in affecting an arrest on the suspect who was later transported to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office.  Sergeant Bradshaw was then transported to the Ozark Medical Center for treatment of his injury.  His selfless actions are in keeping with the finest traditions of public safety and reflect distinct credit upon himself, the Howell County Sheriff's Office, the County of Howell and the State of Missouri.
