AWARD CRITERIA

The Award of Outstanding Volunteer Service is awarded by the Commanding Law Enforcement Officer of the presiding jurisdiction to a person who, while serving in any capacity in or with the office, distinguished himself or herself by performing documented substantial volunteer service to the local community above and beyond the duties required as a member of the office. Such volunteer service must be made in a sustained and direct nature towards the civilian community, must be significant in nature. There is no time limit required for this award, however those actions must produce tangible results, and must reflect favorably on the office.


CERTIFICATE STANDARD

  • All certificates must be printed in color on standardized paper style: Premium Card-stock Paper, 8.5" x 11", White.

  • All certificates will be embossed by the hand of the "Commanding Law Enforcement Officer" and signed prior to issue.
